In the Royal Thai Naval Academy, we have an interesting place
which is the music room.
The musical room is located on the ground floor of the third building in the battalion. This place is used to train the Three-Anchor Band.
The Three-Anchor Band is the music band of naval cadets who play music in every ceremony with naval cadets such as Navy Day [Three-Anchor Party, Ed.], Cadet Games etc. The Three-Anchor Band represents the Thai Navy to show the music band at the dinner on ships.

The Three-Anchor Band always practices
and trains. Everybody can play more than one instrument, such as Napat
can play guitar, bass, and keyboard. T-rin can play bass tuba. Now
there are 30 men in the Band.
In the room there are many musical instruments such as guitars, bass, drums etc. All the instruments are very expensive and of high quality. For example the Gibson Lespaul Goldtop Deluxe from 1962 cost about 300,000 baht. (www.gibson.com) In 1985 ,Princess Chulaporn gave the piano to the Three-Anchor Band. Until now this piano stays in the musical room.
Now the Three-Anchor Band can play many styles of music, like Rock and Jazz Many men want to enter the Three-Anchor Band but we only have room enough for 10 persons per year. We have seniors in the band to train and practice the juniors .
Our big event is the Seaman-Farmer Games. The Three-Anchor Band has to play at the party whit K.U. band, the band of Kasetsart University for the party at night.
For all these reasons, you can see that musical room is an interesting place in RTNA.
