My swimming pool
When you talk about Naval cadets, everyone will think of swimming. Every Naval cadet can swim very well because they are trained very hard, for example they have to swim across the Gulf at the Sattahip Naval Base and they have to pass the swimming test on both speed and distance every week.
The swimming pool at the Royal Thai Naval Academy was built on 8 September 1972, about 36 years ago, by General Tawin Rainanon. It is 25 meters wide, 50 meters long and there is a 5-meter high springboard. Every Naval cadet can use this pool in his free time. Moreover, the Royal Thai Naval Academy swimming club also uses this pool for practicing swimming and water polo competitions.
